Vegas Strip Blackjack

This variation of the classic game of blackjack is quite popular in Vegas as you can tell by its name. It was developed by the amazing software supplier Microgaming and it allows for quite the diverse styles of playing. There are a lot of options available and all the great Microgaming table game features are there too.

The game has a Return to Player percentage of 99.65%. This exceeds the minimum by far, so we highly recommend trying this game out. Vegas Strip Blackjack is played with four decks which is less than usual. This means players can apply strategies with more ease.

Gameplay

You can find this game as plenty of online casinos, as well as other websites online which allow players to try out the game for free. Unfortunately, you cannot enjoy this game whenever and wherever you are as it is not available on both desktop and mobile. This game is desktop exclusive at the moment.

The graphics are not too stunning and there isn’t much room for anything of the sort in a blackjack game. The animation is adequate and the game’s interface is functional, though a bit rusty. In order to lower or add to your bet, you need to click on the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ symbols in the game, instead of having actual chips.

As for sound design, the game features no music, only sounds. Whenever you win, a male voice declares ‘Player wins’, and whenever you lose there is only a sound. When a push occurs, the same voice declares ‘Push’. There are also sounds when cards are being handed out.

You can start the game by placing a bet as small as $1 and as large as $200. Of course, this may also depend on the online casino of your choosing but in most cases, these are the available limits. Then, the game begins and you can see the cards getting handed out. You can only see one of the dealer’s cards.

Then, you must decide how to act based on your hand. You can stand, hit, split, double down, and insure your hand, depending on the cards you have been dealt, as well as the visible card of the dealer. Surrender is not an available option in this game.

Finally, the dealer’s second card is revealed and he acts accordingly. The dealer must stand on both soft and hard 17. A push occurs if the player has a blackjack but not a natural one and the dealer also reaches 21. Pushes also occur at any other time the player and dealer both have the same score unless the player has a natural blackjack.

Splitting

This option is available whenever the player has two cards of the same numeric value. This allows players to split a hand consisting of a King and Jack for instance. It is a great option which is to be expected from Microgaming. You can split pairs up to three times to create a total of four hands. When splitting aces, the two hands automatically receive one card and then stand.

Doubling Down

You can double down on any initial hand. The amount of the double down bet is the same as your first bet. You are allowed to double down after a split. When you choose this option in the game the bet is automatically placed and you are dealt one last card. Then, the game automatically picks the option to stand.

Insurance

Insurance is available in this game and it pays 2 to 1, as in most other variations. It is available whenever the dealer has a visible ace. An insurance bet is equal to half your initial bet size. If the dealer does not have a blackjack, the insurance bet is simply removed. The insurance bet only covers your original hand.

Payout

The payouts in the game are fairly standard. Blackjack pays 3 to 2 unless the dealer also has one in which case a push occurs. A push also occurs every time both the player and the dealer have hands of the same value. Payouts are the same for every split hand. Insurance pays 2 to 1 when successful. Whenever the dealer busts the player automatically wins.
